Introduction

Established in 2006, ROCCAT is a peripherals company based in Germany. After the critically acclaimed Burst Pro, ROCCAT releases the Burst Core, essentially a budget version of the Pro. The Core retains the shape, lightweight construction, and optical main button switches which ensure low latency along with no double-clicking. Instead of the PMW3389, PixArt’s PMW3331 capable of 8500 CPI is used. Furthermore, the Burst Core comes with a stiffer rubber cable in place of the soft, braided one the Pro is outfitted with. Additionally, regular black-dyed mouse feet are used, and RGB lighting only extends to the scroll wheel. As with the Pro, extensive configuration options are available through ROCCAT Swarm.
