It is by design a traditional broom, combined with a digital engine Engine-X 2.0 from 92. 000 revolutions per minute which collects the dust and dirt present on the floor separating them from the air so that they are deposited in the collection tank, which can be easily emptied once the cleaning operation is complete. The engine has a power of 150 Watt and uses a 8-cone cyclone system that separates the dust from the air through force centrifuge, making it then collect inside the container.

In the product packaging there are numerous components, so as to adapt the product to different uses : Roidmi X 30 Pro is in fact a classic broom vacuum cleaner that easily adapts to a portable suction device, useful for dust deposited on objects or for cleaning parts of the house that are difficult to reach. The central body integrates the motor and the collection tank, the latter in sturdy transparent plastic so as to allow you to easily see the filling level. The metal extension tube connects to the base with the motor, in turn being connected to the various accessories starting from the Nex-V motorized brush.

The motorized brush integrates inside there is a motor , powered directly by the central body of the vacuum cleaner, thanks to which the rotation of the brush responsible for collecting dust and dirt is ensured so that it can then be aspirated. This component alternates a part of its softer surface with one with a much stiffer and slightly thicker brush, so as to perform a more complete suction in the presence of escape routes on the floor. To report the integration of a LED front lighting system , which turns on automatically when cleaning is performed in a dimly lit environment so as to better identify what is on the floor.

In the package there is a second brush, which can be connected to the metal extension or directly to the motor, dedicated to the vacuuming of mattresses, sofas and padding . Inside there is a rotating element that helps to move the dirt present on the surface so that it can be sucked up more easily.

We also find a specific brush for pets and an extension hose, which can only be used with this accessory as it does not transmit the electrical connection signal to the vacuum motor. There are also thin tubes that allow the suction of difficult-to-reach details, such as the folds between the sofa cushions.

The accessory more interesting supplied with Roidmi X 30 Pro is a small water tank , equipped in the lower part in contact with the floor with a microfibre cloth , with which you can perform dust extraction and floor washing in a single pass. It is connected to the rear part of the main brush through a magnetic coupling, releasing the cleaning liquid contained in the tank when the suction operation is carried out.

The microfibre cloth can be easily detached as well to be washed in turn once the cleaning operation is completed. This accessory certainly does not replace a traditional cleaning with a rag and bucket for the entire surface of the house, but it turns out to be very useful on paper when we need to keep clean some domestic environments such as bathroom and kitchen, for example, after they have been used.

The motor battery is recharged using a magnetic base connected to a wall power supply , which must be attached to the house wall using the supplied adhesive or with two plugs. The base must be positioned exactly at 92 cm high from the floor, so that the broom magnetically hooks onto it while remaining in a vertical position. Unlike other products on the market, the base accommodates only the vacuum cleaner and not its accessories; these must therefore be positioned somewhere else and taken according to the needs of use of the moment.

The base also it does not support the weight of the vacuum cleaner and for this reason it must be set precisely at the height indicated by the company ; the vacuum cleaner will always be resting on the ground, unloading the weight and using the charging hook only to maintain the vertical position. In our opinion, this type of connection is a limitation of the product: it does not allow the vacuum cleaner to be hooked up except with the hose and the larger brush connected and does not offer coupling space for at least some of the accessories supplied, which must therefore be stored elsewhere. Furthermore, the horizontal footprint is quite high as clearly shown in the image and this can create some obstacles if there is not much space available.

An OLED color screen is installed on the engine ; which shows the main information related to the use of the product: which suction mode, among the 3 available, has been selected together with the percentage of battery charge that is still available. The ignition of the engine is controlled by the black button positioned above the handle; a second gray button, positioned in the highest part of the engine, controls the selection between the 3 suction powers. Operation is “on-off” by pressing the start button, not with a trigger switch that must be pulled to make the engine work: from the point of view of use, this solution is much more practical, especially if the vacuum cleaner is used for more than a few seconds.

The collection tank detaches from the motor by pressing a button, in a very simple way; it is then possible to open it so as to remove the dirt by carrying out the required cleaning. The HEPA filter that separates it from the suction motor is clearly visible from the top of the tank, a component that can be easily cleaned as well as replaced with a spare. Air filtration takes place with a six-level structure, which allows even the finest dust particles to be blocked inside the tank, which are therefore not reintroduced into the home environment.

In a cordless vacuum cleaner the operating autonomy is a very important choice parameter for the final evaluation; depending on the selected suction level, this data changes considerably and the indication of the residual autonomy as a percentage is certainly helpful. These are the indicative autonomy data, with metal extension and main brush in use, which we found in our tests:

• level 3: approximately 11 minutes

We expected a figure reduced to the maximum power level, by virtue of the strong aspiration that is created; the data of is much more interesting minutes in basic mode , more than suitable for vacuuming all floors days and compatible with cleaning even a large apartment. Moreover, this result is also achieved with level 2, the intermediate one, even if we believe that at the end of the cleaning of an apartment of 100 square meters there is little remaining battery to be able to continue with the suction of specific elements using one of the accessories supplied . Used as a traditional Roidmi X vacuum cleaner 30 Pro performs very well : it is not overly heavy to move around the house and l The handle allows you to better support it even when using it for a long time. The overall suction efficiency is very good : we did not detect problems with different types of dirt and if the level lower and quieter suction is not enough it is very simple to operate the button to adjust the power to the need. In the quietest mode the operation is not such as to create noise problems ; by increasing the power, especially by selecting the maximum one, the engine is felt more markedly but after all this is a typical feature of the intake solutions against which very little can be done.

The accessory floor washing system is the original feature of this product but cannot be considered is an alternative to traditional cleaning with a cloth. In fact, its intervention is very bland we believe because of how it is attached to the vacuum cleaner: it is not possible to exert a strong direct pressure on the cloth, which instead happens easily with a traditional rag and stick. The lack of pressure leads to its mild incidence on the dirt of the floor: it is fine if you want to complete an additional cleaning action after having vacuumed dirt, for example on the kitchen floor after dinner, but don’t ask for more.

Roidmi indicates that this accessory operates according to a “drop by drop” logic , releasing the solution inserted in the tank so that it is transmitted to the cloth little by little. This implies that the cloth requires a lot of time to get completely wet, so as to perform the best possible cleaning action, which is not very compatible with the practicality and speed that are to be obtained with an integrated system of this type. We therefore do not think that X 30 Pro can perform both the suction function and the washing function in a perfect way: the first is flawless, while the second seemed to us to be brilliant as an idea but not very effective in practice.

At a price list of 579 € Roidmi X 30 Pro is aligned with the top of the range cordless vacuum cleaners available on the market. It boasts a considerable operating autonomy with battery and a very accurate construction , with a rich series of accessories supplied in bundle. The dirt accumulation tank is not too big in size but it is easily accessible, with emptying operations that have proved to be very practical. We were not convinced by the wall fixing system for recharging, in fact usable only if the vacuum cleaner is mounted in standard configuration and not with one of the accessories, while the floor washing function that differentiates it from the competition is very much on paper. brilliant for cleaning individual rooms in our home but in practice not as effective as one might think. In any case, it remains a very original element compared to what is offered by other cordless vacuum cleaners of the same price.
