Back in September, Samsung updated its Galaxy M31 to One UI 2.1 and now the maker is pushing yet another update with its One UI 2.5 build for the popular midranger. The new firmware bears the M315FXXU2ATJ9 build number in India and is expected to make its way to more markets soon.

The new release brings the October security patch as well as the usual One UI 2.5 enhancements. These include the overhauled Samsung Keyboard, SOS messages with location sharing, improved camera performance and gesture controls in third-party launchers.

So far, all M series are running on OneUI Core that is lacking Secure Folder and using simpler version of Knox. Samsung doing this as cost-cutting and also to push buyers to get more expensive A series if you want full OneUI.

Secure folder needs both Knox and One UI. M series devices run on One UI Core and do not have Knox, so it is not possible to implement secure folder via software updates. M31s and M51 have Knox, but because they run on One UI Core, they have no secur…
