Samsung is working on a sliding bezel-less smartphone
Source: Pure PC added 10th Nov 2020There are more or less interesting patents of the giants of the mobile industry, but the lion’s share of them are rather bad ideas with little chance of being implemented. However, this is not the case with the latest Samsung application. The sliding structure of the phone, the so-called slider, may not be new, but it can still be attractive. Of course, only packaged in a modern, even innovative form. The Let’s Go Digital website has prepared a visualization of the device from the South Korean giant’s patent, which shows us that the time of sliding mobile devices is not over yet. Since one picture is worth more than a thousand words, let’s get down to the specifics, i.e. the look.
Samsung is preparing a completely new frameless smartphone based on a slider housing. Is this what the Korean manufacturer’s customers bored with the repetition of design expect?

Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone test 20: Is it worth the money?
No unnecessary extension. Samsung is developing a smartphone with a rounded front and back screen with a work surface that almost fills 100 percent. devices. Not only that, according to the patent, the equipment will be a slider type structure, and thus, we will be able to slide it apart, thus gaining access to cameras. While technical details are practically unavailable today and we can ask about the technologies that are to be delivered to the device, we can already look at the potential style. Let’s Go Digital website has prepared visualizations of the project based on the patent.

Of course, the rendered graphics, which are only a conceptual design, do not have to reflect Samsung’s actual plans. Nevertheless, I must admit that few devices made such a huge impression on me. It is impossible to deny its attractiveness. A truly frameless design, a protected photographic system and a huge workspace herald something special. If Samsung applies the software potential of the design, the equipment will be met with great interest. It does not necessarily equal commercial success.
