The injection of capital following the acquisition of the 66% of the company by Hon Hai (which most people know as Foxconn ) has given new life to the historic Japanese producer Sharp . Sharp took over Toshiba’s PC division in August, with the acquisition of a further 20% of the shares of Dynabook. Now comes the news of the definitive creation of an important joint-venture with NEC to create Sharp NEC Display Solutions Ltd. company that wants to play a major role in the B2B display market.

Sharp NEC Display Solutions is born

Fujikazu Nakayama of Sharp and Hisatsugu Nakatani of NEC Display Solutions will respectively hold the role of Chairman and President of the new company. The two companies will have different weight in the participation in the joint venture: Sharp Corporation 66% is NEC Corporation 34% .

The joint venture aims to create a massive player important criticism and to exploit a wide range of synergies between the two brands in the display market and solutions of digital signage .
