The Snapdragon 875 It seems that it will integrate a Cortex-X1 to 2 core. 84 GHz, three Cortex-A 78 to 2. 30 GHz and four other Cortex-A 55 at 1.8 GHz.
Less than a month left for Qualcomm to introduce the new Snapdragon SoC 875 for smartphones, the company’s most powerful SoC and, according to the latest leaks, the most powerful of all in general. In Weibo, the internal specifications of this SoC have been leaked in terms of the cores that it will incorporate, suggesting that it will have a configuration of 1 + 3 + 4 and will add a total of 8 cores . Of these 8, 4 of them will be low-medium consumption (oriented to medium and low loads, with great efficiency), 3 will be high-performance and there will be one of supreme performance, the Cortex-X1 .
This last core, the Cortex-X1, according to ARM estimates will be a 20% faster in sustained frequency than A 78, at the same time which will give a 42% more peak performance. In this way we will have 1xCortex-X1, 3xCortex-A 78 and 4xCortex-A 55.
The Snapdragon 875 will feature a supreme performance core, the Cortex-X1, running at 2. 84 GHz
Regarding graphic power, the Snapdragon 875 will release GPU according to this same leak, the Adreno 660 , improving in cache and bandwidth areas, as well as in efficiency compared to the previous version.
Since it aspires to offer a 20% higher net return than Snapdragon 865 , the new SoC will also be more powerful than the Kirin 9000, as long as this is true. We will have to wait until December 1 and 2, where Qualcomm has planned its presentation event.
