SunMoon meets Uni-T, GW Instek & Tektronix

In 2017 I was the first and only review site from Romania who passed the ATE test, and in 2018 we will take another step by purchasing a SunMoon SEL tester – 9880, the top model in the manufacturer’s range that could climb up to a close load 3000 W. How the loading and maintenance of the load was performed without problems by SEL – 9880, some improvements had to be made for greater flexibility in connecting the source, as well as for minimizing errors in the efficiency measurement process.

In this purpose I replaced the internal voltmeter with an external one with high precision (Uni-T UT 804), the integrated power analyzer with a GW Instek GPM – 8212 calibrated according to Renar norms by ARC Brasov, respectively the connection plate with one built to order by Enermax for laboratory use (can load 6 rails and distinct and separate). Moreover, I purchased a Tektronix TDS 804 C digital oscilloscope, in order to be able to measure the ripple noise in an accurate way.
