Syneto
Syneto is a company with offices in Romania, Belgium, Spain and Italy that creates hyperconverged solutions dedicated to companies small and medium-sized. The strengths of its solutions are simplicity and convenience, and thanks to these characteristics it is highly appreciated by customers, so much so that it is one of the main surroundings of the Italian market and beyond, focusing on the hyperconvergence services for SMEs . Syneto is one of those realities that has not been overwhelmed by the crisis triggered by Covid, on the contrary: for the company it was an opportunity since more and more companies have had to activate services to let remote workers access company data and to put standing infrastructure VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) . Consequently, Syneto has decided to take the opportunity to extend its services , also focusing on cloud services designed for the needs of its customers.
The 3 pillars on which the evolution of Syneto is based
In a virtual meeting with the press, Vadim Comanescu, CEO of Syneto, outlined the strategy the company is pursuing. After becoming one of the leaders of hyperconvergence in Italy (limited to the SME sector), an evolution is necessary to achieve the goal: to create an ecosystem that allows customers to be ready to face the future. A strategy based on three key concepts:
- Accelerate Hybrid Cloud Adoption
- Ensure data security
- Offer customers the technology to do smart working effectively
These three initiatives translate into a series of additional services that complete the platform, but also in the creation of a specific cloud service for Italy , guaranteeing customers in our country that information is kept within national borders. It is natural to wonder how any company can hope to establish itself in a market dominated by 4 giants (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure and IBM), and Comanescu explains that the Syneto solution has two strengths compared to all the others: it is the only vendor that is working on a cloud solution dedicated to the needs of Italian companies and, fundamental detail, is the the easiest cloud service to adopt. “ It will not have all the functionality of its competitors “, explains the CEO,” but it is the easier to adopt “. We must in fact consider that the Italian entrepreneurial fabric is mainly composed of SMEs that need turnkey solutions, which none of the cloud providers is now able to offer.
But in addition to simplicity there is another aspect that makes it unique: according to Comanescu , Syneto’s cloud will be extremely secure.
Security according to Syneto
Syneto’s hyperconverged infrastructure can count on an extremely important feature: is immune to ransomware . As it is structured, in case a malware encrypts the data, just a click and a few moments are enough to restore the affected systems. But more needed to be done, explains Comanescu : remedying problems is useful, but it is better to prevent them. For this Syneto has created a specialized division in consulting services for the prevention of cyber threats, the S yneto Cybersecurity Division , in which some of the best cybersecurity experts work of the country. At the moment the division is focusing on security and training services, but behind the scenes the company is working on new tools that have a peculiarity: they will not force customers to change their infrastructure to integrate them, but they will be able to keep their own. a fact that will allow you to save money and above all to be able to continue working with the same tools.
Smart Working according to Syneto
The third pillar of Syneto’s strategy is to offer companies the technology necessary for effective smart working. Italian SMEs have been very agile in adapting quickly to the new remote modes but, Comanescu points out, they have focused more on workflows than on technology. Syneto offers two “packages”: RAS (Remote Access Server) and VDI . The first to allow workers to securely access data stored in corporate infrastructures, be it on-premise or hybrid cloud, the second to offer a virtual desktop structure to those who need it. VDI is a need felt in particular by companies working in the industrial world and using workstations. Allowing an employee to bring home the workstation with all the data it contains is a huge risk, and for this reason companies prefer to allow employees to use a common terminal to take control of the tools that remain safe within the company walls. .
