AMD will introduce the RDNA2 architecture and the Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards based on it in a week, i.e. 28. October. As the release approaches, leaks over future graphics cards tend to continue at an accelerating pace, and the RX 6000 series is no exception.

Relatively recent leaker Patrick Schur has grabbed significantly more credibility behind him with the latest RDNA2 leak. Schur has provided Igor’s Wallosek with the BIOS of the Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card from the anonymous AIB (Add-In Board partner). However, this AIB model is said to be above average. Wallossek has omitted certain information from his article so that it doesn’t spoil the excitement around the upcoming publication. In addition, the BIOS version may not be the final release version.

The BIOS version of that Radeon RX 6800 XT BIOS version for the graphics chip is set to 2800 MHz and memories 1075 MHz. Memory clock frequency means 17 a maximum speed of 2 Gbps. These are therefore overclocking upper limits and do not mean that the graphics cards actually operate at those clock frequencies.

More interesting information can be found on other tabs. The graphics power consumption limit is set to 255 watts. The power consumption limit can be increased by a maximum %) for overclocking, which would raise the GPU consumption limit to its maximum 293 watts. The target clock frequency for the graphics chip in the BIOS version of this particular AIB manufacturer is 2577 MHz, which Wallossek estimates to be a message of about 2.3 to 2.4 GHz
