EKWB launches water blocks for NVIDIA RTX 3080 and 3090 reference, the EK Classic, with a minimalist and simplified design.

Although these graphics cards have been on the market for a few months and we have seen numerous options to pass them through water, EKWB (also known as EK to dry) aims to give more options to those who acquire one of these two graphics other than Founders Edition . The reference PCB is not the one from NVIDIA, it is not the one used by the Founders Edition, but the one used by all assemblers. For the FE, EK launched a water block some time ago. In this way, the EK Classic blocks make use of a copper base with less thickness , 11. 2 mm, in order to adapt to the capacitors that are more common to use in these graphs.

Furthermore, the EK Classic block has been improved to reduce vorticity in the internal water circuit and thus increase water flow for better dissipation. The list of compatible graphics cards is huge so you better see them on EK’s own website. How could it be otherwise, with these water blocks the manufacturer has also announced the backplates that complete the perfect set.

The prices of the block and the backplate are as follows, being already available for purchase in your online store:

  • EK Classic GPU Waterblock RTX 3080 / 3090 D-RGB: 132. 08 Euros
  • EK Classic GPU Backplate RTX 3080 / 3090 Black: 32. 44 Euros

With 15 years ago I started overclocking my PC to get every extra FPS I could in games and scratch a few milliseconds in SuperPi, while I was constantly posting about hardware on the Geeknetic forum as a user and reader. They must have been so fed up with continually reading me on the forum that I became part of the writing team, where I continue to report on the latest in technology. Astrophysics and PC games are the hobbies that, after hardware, cover most of my free time.
