The latest rumors suggest the arrival of a show dedicated to The Elder Scrolls, the famous role-playing game developed by Bethesda Softworks. The TV series will be produced by Netflix and will follow the example of the acclaimed The Witcher, becoming the next television hit of the on-demand giant.

Bethesda Netflix The Witcher
Last July, prior to the historic acquisition by Microsoft, Bethesda announced the first TV show dedicated to Fallout , one of its most successful intellectual properties. The TV adaptation will be produced by Amazon in collaboration with Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Kilter Films and, probably, the target audience will be Prime Video users.
A new indiscretion involving another big IP from Bethesda Softworks and, curiously, Amazon’s rival in the video on demand market: Netflix is already developing the TV series dedicated to the fantasy universe of The Elder Scrolls .
After Fallout, The Elder Scrolls will also land on the small screen
As reported by the editorial staff of We Got This Covered, the rumors relating to a TV show inspired by The Elder Scrolls come from Daniel Richtman , insider who has always proved to be quite reliable with regard to any leaks and advances.
According to he claims tions of Richtman, Netflix is already working on the television adaptation that will bring the complex lore of the TES saga to the small screen. The insider also cites The Witcher, chosen as a term of comparison to describe the “greatness” of The Elder Scrolls series.
The explosive success of the show inspired by Andrzej’s novels Sapkowski – and, in part, CD Projekt RED’s video games – could push Netflix to invest additional resources in a product that, for the topics covered and the target audience, does not differ much from The Witcher.
For Bethesda Softworks, and for Netflix itself, the timing would be almost perfect. Game Studios led by Todd Howard are working on the highly anticipated The Elder Scrolls VI , announced – perhaps prematurely – on the occasion of E3 2018. However, Starfield will be the next RPG to debut on the market, which means that we will have to wait a little longer for the sixth chapter of TES.
We will carefully follow any developments on the hypothetical TV series made by Netflix. It is a very interesting period for video game and small screen lovers, no doubt.
