As the owner of a Nissan Leaf, Sven Hansen knows in detail how the everyday life of an electric car driver looks like. He regularly tests cars for the c’t editorial team – not just electric cars, but also conventional combustion engines. In everyday life, he is primarily annoyed by the non-transparent costs for charging his car. He also had the ID.3 in his fingers and was amazed how little the promised software works.

Clemens Gleich is our vehicle expert from Heise Autos and just got an electric Smart EQ at the door that disappoints him. He sees the future bright for the electric car, however, because battery life and vehicle range will improve. For a short time, however, it warns of winter and the battery capacities that are limited by the cold. He is a little disappointed with the Volkswagen ID.3, because delays and strange welds are making the soup too salty.
