In recent years, NVIDIA’s mobile graphics cards have been based on at least the same chip as the desktop version of the same model, although the configuration of the cores may have differed other than in terms of clock speeds. The new GeForce RTX 30 series mobile graphics cards will stop this practice, at least temporarily, if there is confidence in the listings of Skikk, which sells laptops under its own name.

The laptops listed on the pages of the Dutch Skikk found by credit leak momomo_us have already been removed from the lines, but fortunately Videocardz had time to capture an image from them. According to Skikk, NVIDIA’s mobile portfolio will initially include at least GeForce RTX 3060, RTX 3070 Max-Q and RTX 3080 Max-Q.

The RTX 3080 Max-Q model will be equipped with 16 gigabytes of GDDR6 memory, which at the same time almost certainly means GA 104 – the use of a graphics chip, as using GA 102 with a choked memory band does not make sense. The GeForce RTX 3070 Max-Q is equipped with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory and the RTX 3060 with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory. The RTX 3070 is most likely equipped with a more cropped GA 104 graphics chip, and the RTX 3060 is presumably the desktop model GA 106 – graphics circuit. Unfortunately, Skikk’s listings did not reveal more specific configurations of graphics cards.
