?? Fujifilm XS 10 is the new mid-range mirrorless camera that the manufacturer recently introduced. This is a solution under the 1000 euro for the camera body but which integrates an IBIS with good performance. ??

We have already talked about Fujifilm XS 10 , the mirrorless camera which should be the basis for a change of strategy from part of the manufacturer. In fact, with the new model there should no longer be the need to present a hypothetical XT 40 thus completing the X-Tx0 series with the latest Fujifilm XT 30.

Fujifilm’s IBIS is getting more and more compact

One of the novelties for a mid-range camera made by the Japanese manufacturer is the integration of IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization) which, in the X Series, it was only used on Fujifilm X-H1 and the more recent Fujifilm X-T4. The arrival on Fujifilm XS

, a solution for less than 1000 euro (body only).

Even more interesting is to see a video in which you can see the technological evolution that led the IBIS to have decidedly compact dimensions compared to the past. Thanks to an optimization of the structure, it was also possible to review the wiring.

In general, reduced dimensions were obtained but also a reduction in energy consumption (to the advantage of autonomy). Of course, half a stop of stabilization is lost compared to X-T4 (6.5 stops vs 6 stops) but all with the 30% less occupied volume. On the other hand, if you compare it with that of X-H1, the performances are almost always superior or, in the worst case, on par.

In the last hours the performance data of the IBIS in combination with different lenses and comparing Fujifilm XS 10 against Fujifilm X-T4 and Fujifilm X-H1. You can see the differences in the table below.
