The Google Assistant, with its flaws and its virtues, makes life easier for most of its users , but something we still couldn’t do was program the lights on and off , at least not in Spanish.
However, as they have been able to prove in El Androide Libre, the Google Assistant can now recognize a new voice command, and it is that of program the lights on or off in a specific room.
For example, we can ask you to turn on a hall light in X minutes, turn off the lights in an office at closing time, or even request that a light be turned on for a specific time. All commands and conditions are interchangeable, so we can use as many combinations as we can think of.
However, facing the limitations, we do see that this can only be done with lights, whether they are smart bulbs, LED strips or smart plugs that have been configured as lights in the application, so although We could arrive at a configuration that allows us to assign a “light” to a strip where we have our computer , it is not the experience more appropriate for this and can lead to confusion.
