The Medium is one of the first games to appear on the Xbox Series X console and one of the newer games that are not designed for the console of the declining generation, and so under Xbox One. Thanks to this, we should finally receive a title of really good quality (or at least I want to think so). We found out about the game in May this year, receiving the first trailer. Today, another, third trailer titled The Threats has hit the network. The approximate time of the game is also provided below. We also remind you of the hardware requirements dedicated to production. The game will also appear on PCs in a digital version, exactly 28 January 2021 onwards.

The Medium – hardware requirements revealed, there will be ray tracing

Initially, the production of the Polish studio Bloober Team was to be released 10 December 2020, but the premiere was postponed to the end of January 2021 (perhaps due to the premiere of Cyberpunk 2077). As one of the employees of the Krakow studio revealed, the gameplay is supposed to last for about 10 hours of fun. The Medium is to be the largest project of the Krakow studio so far. In the title, we will play the role of Marianne, who lives on the border of two worlds: real and spiritual. We will solve puzzles by exploring these two realities. In addition, 2/3 of the game time will be spent in one of the dimensions – either real or spiritual. In the remaining 1/3, we will explore both dimensions at once.

The production is intriguing for a reason. The game will receive ray tracing, which will surely please fans of realistic graphics. There is also a lot to be happy about in terms of the story. There are voices that The Medium will be the spiritual heir to the Silent Hill series. What’s more, names such as Akira Yamaoka and Arkadiusz Reikowski are working on the soundtrack. However, the game turns out to have considerable requirements, especially for processors – for the recommended settings in Full HD resolution, the developers propose a 6-core Intel Core i5 – 9600 or 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 3700 X. In the case of graphics cards, we also have quite high requirements – in the minimum set, the developers recommend at least the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of VRAM. With Ray Tracing turned on, the requirements are obviously higher, so without GeForce RTX 2080 it will not work.
