The Radeon RX 6700 XT and RX 6700 will have 12 GB GDDR6 according to a leak
Source: Geeknetic added 24th Nov 2020It seems that AMD is preparing a new graphics card to increase its family of Radeon RX 6000, formed for the moment by RX 6700, RX 6700 XT and RX 6900 XT that will hit the market in the next few days.
The leak comes from Patrick Schur, a “leaker” with a fairly accurate prediction and past leaks. In it, he assures that the next AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT will arrive with a TGP that will be around the 186 – 221 W next to 12 GB of GDDR6 memory. Along with it will predictably come the AMD Radeon RX 6700 , keeping the 12 GB of GDDR6 and a TGP between 146 Y 156 W or even lower.
The name of the chips, based on RDNA 2, will be NV 22 XT for the GPU that will bring the RX to life 6700 XT and NV 22 XTL for GPU integrated into the supposed RX 6700. These cards are expected to occupy a place in the mid-range, with more affordable prices for the vast majority
Be that as it may, as with all these leaks and rumors, you have to take the data with tweezers and wait for the official launch by AMD to see what final specifications they offer and how they are in the company’s current range of graphics. Of what there is no doubt is that it would be very strange that AMD did not launch a model to fight in this range, as it already leaked in its day when showing some designs for the RX 6000.
