The Starlink beta price is overkill. Operators can rest easy

Elon Musk has set himself the goal of delivering fast and inexpensive internet to anywhere in the world. Starlink, as the solution is called, will ultimately be an alternative to the previously known solutions in the field of network access. The problem is that the initial prices of the service, as well as its features, put a smile on your face. Operators, whether stationary or mobile, can sleep peacefully and not bother with what Starlink offers. This may change soon, but at the moment the possibility of using more than 800 satellites has to be paid as much as 99 dollars per month. I would like to add that this is a tax-free amount to which I have not added the price of the necessary modem yet. However, there is a little “but” here.

Open tests of internet connection delivered via Starlink satellites are starting. Elon Musk’s solution, however, is terribly expensive and slow.

Starlink lagging 20 ms. Global internet ready for gaming?

CNBC informs about e-mails sent to people signed up for Starlink tests – “Better Than Nothing Beta” containing a significant set of information. We already know that when the beta test starts, you will have to pay almost 600 dollars, of which 499 USD is the price of a special router, and 99 is the monthly subscription fee. This gives us a direct conversion 2360 PLN to start without tax. You also need to remember the monthly fee of 99 dollars, which is ~ 390 PLN (also excluding tax).

Elon Musk will present a working Neuralink interface on Friday

These are tests, but the amounts are far too high. This does not bode well for Starlink’s first fully commercial offerings. If the price list was followed by quality and speed, I would be able to understand it. Unfortunately, the service provider warns against possible longer interruptions in the delivery of the connection. Not only that, the download speed will range from 50 to 150 Mbps, which is not the best result today. In addition, we’re talking about ping ranging from 20 to 40 ms.
