The Canadian online video service Rumble has accused Google of abuse of a dominant position by claiming that the search engine has unfairly manipulated its search algorithms , always showing the results of its own video service, Youtube, above those of Rumble.

The lawsuit accuses Google of positioning YouTube above other services and of pre-installing its app

The company asks for 2. 000 million dollars to the California court in charge of the case, alleging that this strategic Malicious ai has cost them the loss of a significant number of visitors and revenue from advertising. In addition, they also add to the demand the fact that Google pre-installs its YouTube application on Android phones , considering it a practice anticompetitive and forcing other manufacturers to do the same

The controversy comes at a time when Rumble is gaining prominence by becoming a popular alternative among the most conservative sector in the US

Not the first time, and possibly It will not be the last, that Google faces lawsuits for abusing its dominant position in the search engine market and, in fact, has already had to face million-dollar fines for similar issues, including the pre-installation of its applications and the obligation that it imposes on certain manufacturers to pre-install them on their devices.
