Thermaltake Toughair 110, 310 and 510: New air cooler trio
Source: Hardware Luxx added 19th Jan 2021With Toughair 110, 310 and 510 Thermaltake is bringing three new air coolers onto the market. The trio is supposed to cover different application scenarios: The Toughair 110 is a top-blow cooler with a reduced height. Toughair 310 and Toughair 510, on the other hand, are single towers with either one or two fans.
With the new series, Thermaltake is refreshing its range of air coolers and is using the same design language for all three models. According to Thermaltake, the design was guided by the fan used. The same fan type is used for all three coolers, a Toughfan 12. This 120 – mm fan works PWM-controlled with 500 to 2. 000 RPM. Thermaltake equips this fan with a hydraulic bearing and a decoupling. The unlit fan is visually discreet and straightforward. And it is precisely this functional design that characterizes the heat sinks. Thermaltake has accordingly dispensed with eye-catching decorative elements or paintwork. Thermaltake uses four 6 mm heat pipes for all three coolers. These have direct contact with the processor.
As a top blow cooler with an overall height of 11, 4 cm the Toughair 99 is especially suitable for systems in which space for the processor cooler is limited. This cooler is designed for a maximum TDP of 120 W. Toughair 310 and 510 each protrude around 16 cm in height. During the Toughair 310 with a single Toughfan 12 is equipped and is designed for processors with 140 W, the Toughair 510 delivered with two fans. It can thus be operated in a push-pull configuration and should be able to cope with a maximum TDP of 180 W. All three coolers support the AMD sockets AM4, AM3 +, AM3, AM2 +, AM2, FM2 and FM1 and the Intel sockets LGA 1200, 1156, 1155, 1151, 1150 and 775.
calls Thermaltake so far only US prices. The Toughair 110 should therefore 34, 99 Dollar, the Toughair 310 39, 99 Dollars and the Toughair 510 49, 99 dollars.
