ThundeRobot ML903 NearLink Review
Source: Tech Power Up added 10th May 2024Introduction
Established in 2014, ThundeRobot is a gaming peripherals and accessories company based in China. These days, high-performance wireless peripherals typically utilize protocols operating within the 2.4 GHz band such as Bluetooth or other proprietary solutions. Another such protocol is Huawei’s NearLink, which promises lower latency, better efficiency, and more stable operation compared to (largely unspecified) “traditional” wireless standards. Among the first manufacturer to adopt NearLink is ThundeRobot, with the ambidextrous ML903 NearLink. Compared to the regular ML903, the NearLink version comes with a battery of double the capacity (600 mAh), increasing the weight to 68 g in the process. No battery life numbers are cited, but both NearLink and Bluetooth connectivity is present. In addition, the ML903 NearLink is capable of true 8000 Hz polling in wired operation and true 4000 Hz polling using NearLink. PixArt’s PAW3395 sensor capable of 26,000 CPI is used, along with main button switches from Kailh. The feet are made of pure PTFE. No RGB lighting is present, but everything else can be adjusted within the software. The ML903 NearLink is available either in white or red.
