The new Tokina atx-i 17 – 35 mm F4 FF is an optical design lens that provides 13 elements divided into 12 groups with two very low dispersion lenses and three aspherical lenses. This allows for better contrast, greater sharpness and reduce chromatic aberrations. There is also a multilayer coating.
This solution is meant for full-frame cameras of Canon and Nikon and has a variable focal length from 17 mm to 35 mm with a variable viewing angle between 104 ° ei 64 °. The minimum focusing distance is equal to 28 cm while the aperture varies from f / 4 to f / 22 with a 9-blade diaphragm.
On the body there is the ring for manual focus while in the front area you can place filters from 82 mm . This lens supports the One-Touch Focus Clutch mechanism to switch from MF to AF and vice versa simply by moving a ring. The overall dimensions are equal to 89 x 95 mm (Nikon F) and 89 x 97 mm (Canon EF) while the weight varies between 569 grams (Nikon F) and i 609 grams (Canon EF) respectively. The price in the USA is approximately 600 dollars while it is not yet available directly in Italy.
