Introduction
TRYX is a new PC DIY tech brand based out of Shanghai, China. It was founded in February 2023, and had a big launch event earlier this year with the showcase of a PC case, a CPU cooler, and fans. We met the brand at Computex and were impressed by the AIO CPU cooler featuring a large L-shaped curved display allowing for a more 3D feel to the content shown. TRYX has been busy since, securing distribution in major markets globally, and already has those products out for sale. These include the aforementioned fans, and we’ll take a look at one of them today.
The TRYX ROTA Pro is a 120 mm fan that tries to just get the basics right—no LEDs, 25 mm thickness, square frame, aiming to be high performing on a radiator. It comes in black or white colors, with the Pro version differentiating from the upcoming non-Pro fans in simply going to a higher maximum fan speed. These are PWM fans which also offer some daisy-chaining, further indicating their use on a radiator as opposed to being case fans for ventilation. Then there’s the part where TRYX is heavily marketing the LCP (liquid crystalline polymer) blades here that have been used on other static-pressure optimized high-performance fans from the likes of Noctua, Phanteks, Thermaltake, Lian Li, and others. TRYX has more challenges ahead of it, given it is a new brand that very few are aware of, compared to these other more mainstream names. So let’s see how the ROTA Pro fans fare in our testing as we begin with a look at the product specifications in the table below. Thanks to TRYX for providing review samples to TechPowerUp!
