Turn it to 11! Cyberpunk 2077 in Cinematic RTX mode
Source: Hardware Luxx added 23rd Dec 2020Our ray tracing and DLSS test from Cyberpunk 2077 has already shown that even current hardware reaches its limit when all effects are used. Even a GeForce RTX 3080 arrives their limit when you turn up the ray tracing effects. This can be compensated in a certain way via Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), which with the quality preset has no or hardly any display disadvantages.
The game itself offers graphics options or presets, which are already referred to as “Psycho” and meet the hardware requirements. But there are apparently other graphic levels or presets that are not available via the graphics menu. These can be called via start parameters. One of the parameters is “Cinematic RTX” to improve the display again.
The parameter is added as an additional argument to the exe file. This is called ” Cyberpunk 2017 bin x 64 Cyberpunk 2077. exe “another” qualityLevel = Cinematic_RTX “appended. The parameter has an influence on the Level of Detail (LOD), the lighting display and ambient lighting (Ambient Occlusion or AO). The start parameters of NexusMods were listed.
A higher level of detail or additional effects naturally have an influence on the performance. In addition to the ultra and psycho preset, Cinematic RTX should require around 2 GB of additional VRAM. In addition, of course, the FPS decrease. Depending on the scene, this can be between a few percentage points up to 20%.
Further parameters are:
