It seems that Apple has finally taken giant steps in the development of its foldable iPhone , and as we can see in the Economic Daily News, two folding iPhone prototypes would have passed the company’s internal durability tests , something that would have been done expressly to ensure a certain experience to its users.
Apple’s internal tests are known in other areas, especially in the field of screens, where we have previously seen display manufacturers win or lose a contract based on the quality they are able to obtain for a screen for iPhone, iPad or other devices, something that could be exact mind what is happening in this case, which has mainly focused on the terminal hinges.
These two prototypes make use of different systems, where one of them would have two rigid screens joined by a hinge, to the purest Microsoft style with its Surface Duo, while the other prototype would use a flexible screen as Samsung already does with its Galaxy Fold.
Apple only wants to choose one of the models, so we will have to be attentive to how this discovery evolves, with a terminal that probably won’t see the light of day for a few years.
