One of the features for the new AMD Ryzen 5000 can work is to do it together with a board with a series chipset 500, although after some anger on the part of the users, promised an update in the series 400 so they can work with newer AMD based processors in Zen 3, but recently a user has managed to run nothing more and nothing less than an AMD Ryzen 5950 on a board with a series chipset 300 .

The overclock.net forum user who calls himself Brko has commented that an acquaintance of his has achieved run a AMD Ryzen 5000 series on a board Gigabyte with X chipset 370 , the board has a new beta BIOS and an AGESA update which would support this type of processors that were not supported , although unfortunately we have not seen some images of this as we commented.

Yes that we have seen images of another user in chiphell running a Ryzen 9 5900 X together with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM on a board with chipset A 320 also with an AGESA update and a beta BIOS for this logic board. Remember that will require a BIOS update with AGESA 1.1.0.0 to make these processors work.

In this way We see how it is possible for users to use the plates of the series 300 with the newer AMD processors , so manufacturers should release these updates in a future so as not to limit these boards to the use of older CPUs.
