With the new “Speedtest Plus” all Vodafone cable customers can now measure the bandwidth available to them. The first step in the two-stage test is to check which bandwidth is arriving at the customer’s device. If this deviates from the contractually agreed one, the second step follows: The bandwidth that arrives at the cable modem is measured. In addition to the test result, the customer receives help to speed up his Internet.

In particular if the test shows that the speed between the modem and the end device is lost , tips are given for optimizing the home network: Vodafone, for example, advises using a current browser version, gives tips for the correct router location or information on possible sources of interference.

Soon also for other platforms The Speedtest Plus is also available as an app for AppleTV. Vodafone has announced that the test will also be offered on other platforms in the future. Customers in the network of the former Unitymedia already know the speed test after Unitymedia introduced it 2018. Since the EU Commission approved the takeover 2019, Unitymedia has belonged to Vodafone.
