To better serve companies in remote locations or that need to differentiate access methods to the Network, WindTre Business announced WindTre Connect On Air , new offer that prev and the use of FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) technology provided by Eolo .

WindTre Connect On Air: wireless connectivity for business

FWA technology makes it possible to replace or combine copper or fiber optic connections with those that use radio waves: the concept is similar to that of cellular networks, but requires that the connected devices are fixed as they serve offices and housing. WindTre Connect On Air leverages the Eolo network to allow companies to connect their offices to the network when access via cable connections is not available or, on the other hand, to provide an additional connectivity channel that acts as a reinforcement to those already existing.

Windtre states that the service is available nationwide “with connectivity solutions targeted to the needs of companies” , which seems to indicate that these are ad hoc solutions created on a project, with guaranteed symmetrical band up to 4 Mbps and maximum download speed of 100 Mbps.

Part of the offer are also ancillary services such as quick installation (within five working days of activation) and recovery within 24 hours in case of unforeseen events in the 95% de cases.
