Photos cast a spell over us in very different ways. This is also shown by this week’s pictures. In portraits there is a haunting look that really seeks our attention. In landscape shots, skilful lines paired with deliberately set contrasts that captivate us.

Photographer holysh0t shows “Jewel in the Alps” in his photo “what that can look like. The withered grass of the mountain slopes in the foreground creates a strong complementary contrast to the extreme blue-green of the mountain lake in the center. The pronounced clarity of the recording, which extends into the mountain peaks in the background, puts the viewer right in the middle of the setting. You can literally feel the cool, refreshing mountain air and once again “clear your head”.

The pictures of the week (KW 53) (7 pictures) The play with central sharpness and blurred, fuzzy edges creates tension and an unbelievable depth in this church motif. Photographer Feddy calls his picture “Hope” and invites you to interpret it.
