Sony decided to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store and offer full refunds to anyone who purchased the CD Projekt RED game from the digital store. The move of the Japanese house comes after days of great controversy over the PS4 and Xbox One versions , technically full of problems of all kinds, from performance to multiple bugs. We recall that in recent days the Polish CD Projekt RED apologized to their fans , and at a subsequent meeting he had admitted disinterest in the console versions of the game.
CD Projekt RED had advised players who wished to get a refund, but the current rules prevented Sony and Microsoft (actually more to the former than the latter) to proceed in most cases. Sony’s decision, however, changes everything: those who want to be reimbursed for the purchase of the game from the PlayStation Store have to go to this address and connect with your PS account credentials to make your request.
“SIE is keen to satisfy customers, therefore we will start offering a full refund for all players who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via the PlayStation Store. Additionally, SIE will remove Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice . that we will have confirmation that you have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin the refund process. Please take note that completeness reimbursement may vary depending on your payment method and fin senior “, reads the site.
The Polish developer has published a note in which he commented on Sony’s decision . “The choice was taken following our discussion with SIE [Sony Interactive Entertainment] regarding a full refund for all players who purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store and want a refund at this time. All copies of the game previously purchased digitally on the PlayStation Store remain available for use by their respective purchasers. Players can still purchase physical versions of the title in stores and by mail order. All copies, both digital and physical, will continue to receive support and updates. “Now we await the possible position of Microsoft.
CD Projekt RED si è committed to publishing a series of patches to improve the game and an update should arrive in the next few days, followed by more important ones in January and February . “Together, these updates should solve the most important problems that gamers face on last generation consoles,” said the software house. On PC – as you can read in this analysis – and next-gen consoles the game works much better than on old-gen consoles: another option to play it right away, and do it well, is to turn to the cloud gaming services GeForce NOW and Google Stadia, provided of course have a height connection.
