CES: Zephyrus Duo and ZenBook Duo: Asus relies on dual-screen notebooks

Asus is renovating its three dual-screen systems for the CES 1700 Notebooks RoG Zephyrus Duo 14, ZenBook Duo 14 and ZenBook Pro Duo 14. In addition to the obligatory screen in the lid, they have another, narrow display between the lid and the keyboard; the latter was in turn moved to the front edge. In all three notebooks, the second screen is not anchored rigidly in the fuselage, but tilts towards the user when the lid is opened. This gives you a better perspective, and Asus also uses the construction to supply more fresh air to the cooling system.

In the RoG Zephyrus Duo 15 there are two screens, one Ryzen – 5000 – CPU and a GeForce RTX – 3000 – GPU.

The RoG Zephyrus Duo 15 (GX 551) is a powerful gaming notebook based around AMD’s Ryzen – 5000 – CPUs and Nvidia’s mobile GeForce RTX – 3000 – GPUs. Depending on the model, the main screen is a 4K panel with 120 Hz or a Full HD -Display with 120 Hz – both with a matt surface without touch. The second screen has either 4K or Full HD width and can be operated with a finger or pen.

The ZenBook Pro Duo 15 (UX 582) also uses Nvidia’s newest GPUs, but the CPUs are Intel processors of the tenth Core-i generation (Comet Lake-H). The second screen corresponds to the options of the Zephyrus, but the main screen is a bright 4K OLED panel with full coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
