the cable television program to the smartphone, tablet and PC.

With this innovation AVM seamlessly integrates live TV into the home network. The
FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C combines the functions of a DVB-C tuner with a
powerful wireless repeater compliant with the latest AC standard in a single device.

Live TV throughout the home network
The FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C streams free-to-air cable TV programs directly
into the home network on PCs, notebooks, tablets and smartphones. The television
signal from the cable TV connection is distributed via wireless LAN throughout the
entire home. The integrated dual-TV tuner allows two TV programs to be transmitted
simultaneously. The new FRITZ!App TV for Android and iOS provides for convenient
viewing on tablets and smartphones, complete with channel list, program information,
changing channels and zooming. Live TV to PCs or notebooks is also possible via
VLC media player.

Ultra fast and maximum range with Wireless AC + N
The FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C is a full-fledged Wireless AC repeater. It deploys
MIMO multi-antenna technology and uses dual-band wireless LAN to transmit
concurrently in the 2.4-GHz band (up to 450 Mbit/s) and the 5-GHz band (up to 1300
Mbit/s). Thanks to dual-band wireless LAN, for instance on the latest FRITZ!Box 7490,
both radio bands can be used in parallel to expand the wireless home network. Through
intelligent band selection (dynamic cross band repeating) the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater
DVB-C always chooses the fastest and most efficient path to and from the wireless
router, so that all wireless devices in the network can benefit from higher transmission
rates.

Thanks to deployment of multi-antenna technology and the use of the latest technology
for optimizing range and throughput, as prescribed in the 802.11 ac standard for
increasing range and data throughput, the range and data rate increase many times over
those of the previous solutions based on 11n. Where structural conditions or long
distances restricted the radio connection, it is now possible to realize multiple demanding
applications wirelessly anywhere in the home, even in concurrent operation. The high
wireless performance is especially beneficial for streaming TV programs in HD.

Versatile deployment and maximum wireless security
The FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C supports the wireless standards 11ac/a/b/g/n. With
Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) the repeater is installed at the click of a button and
integrated into the wireless home network within seconds. A fast gigabit LAN port on
the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C allows the connection of network-compliant devices
like TVs, Blu-ray players or printers to be integrated into the wireless home network even
if they are not equipped for wireless LAN themselves. Maximum security for your private
sphere is also ensured by the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C’s support of the latest
encryption methods (WPA2).
