As we have seen in an eBay ad that we have accessed through Windows Central, an unknown seller has managed to sell a prototype of the next tablet in the Surface Pro range for a price of 1300 dollars , something that, although it would be almost normal for it to occur some time after the product was released for sale, is very strange to happen in this product life stage.
Anyway, we are facing a Surface Pro 8 with an engineering sample of an Intel Core i7 – 1165 G7, 32 GB of RAM and a 1TB capacity SSD drive . All of this can be found inside the recognizable chassis of the Surface Pro 7, so that, although there were rumors of a possible redesign of the Microsoft tablet , it seems that it was not the case this time.
Anyway, being a prototype of the tablet, it could be that Microsoft has used this unit as a mule to test the behavior of the hardware in this form factor , because although we find hardware that could easily belong to a mid-high-end laptop, the form factor of the Surface Pro makes it necessary to take into account the thermal characteristics of the platform, for example.
