Acer has presented the Chromebook Spin 513 – the first device in Germany with Qualcomms ARM mobile processor Snapdragon 7c. The chip manufacturer had announced it already at the end 1920, but so far only education notebooks for developing countries have reached the market.

The Chromebook Spin 513 goes with the aluminum housing and narrow display edges in the noble rail. With 13, 3 inches tall IPS touch screen (1920 × 1080 Pixel, Full HD) weighs just under 1.2 kg. The display can be completely folded down thanks to 360 – degree hinges. Chrome OS is preinstalled on 128 GByte eMMC flash, the slower works as SSDs.

The combination processor also contains the graphics unit in the form of an Adreno 618 GPU. Qualcomm does integrate an LTE modem for 4G cellular communications, which Acer only provides and activates with antennas for an extra charge. Wi-Fi 6 (WLAN 802. 11 ax) and Bluetooth are always included.

Peripherals can connect via two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type C (5 GBit / s), one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A and an audio jack. The Type-C ports also output DisplayPort signals for connecting monitors and support USB Power Delivery.

430 Euro Acer recommends Spin for the Chromebook 468 a sales price of 400 Euro. The business version with Chrome OS Enterprise costs 600 euros. A short-term request about the built-in RAM has so far remained unanswered – in the best case 8 GB are built-in.
