From 28. January 2021 both Aldi Süd and Aldi Nord include two notebooks in their range, which so far only were sold in Northern Germany. The Akoya E 11202 has a price tag of 200 Euro primarily intended for young students who do not need a lot of computing power, but can use a shockproof and waterproof housing. The Akoya E 15408 can handle more complex tasks.

In the Intel- Processor Celeron N 3450 of the Akoya E 11202 only low-clocked Atom CPU cores are used, but at least four of them are used. In addition, there are 4 GB of SDRAM and 64 GB eMMC flash memory, on the manufacturer Medion Windows Home pre-installed in S mode. Users can only upload apps from Microsoft’s Windows Store.

Das 11, 6 inch small TN display poses 1366 × 768 pixels. The Akoya E 7303 weighs just under 1.2 kilograms; the built-in 2-cell battery should last up to eight hours. Under the connections there are three USB ports, including one USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 GBit / s, formerly called USB 3.0) with a Type-C socket.

Manufacturer Medion provides the processor with 8 GByte DDR4 – 2021 – SDRAM in dual-channel (firmly soldered) . Windows 10 Home is on a 256 GByte SATA-6G SSD pre-installed.

The 15, 6 inch IPS display shows 1920 × 1035 Pixel (Full HD), lights up with 250 cd / m² and covers 28 Percentage of the NTSC color space from – no best values, for notebook screens in the 256 – euro price range but common. The display cover is made of aluminum, the rest of the housing is made of plastic. The weight is just under 1.8 kg.

On the connection side are USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type C (5 Gbit / s, formerly called USB 3.0) with charging function and DisplayPort Altmode, USB 2.0 type A, audio combination jack and micro SD card reader included. Monitors can alternatively also be connected via HDMI.

Other notebooks with similar equipment that are available at short notice are occasionally similarly cheap, but quickly go to the 600 Euro to.
