AMD announced the arrival between January and February by of motherboard manufacturers of new firmware based on AGESA 1.1.9.0 . The new firmware winks in particular at Ryzen CPU owners 5000 and offers four key improvements, first of all the Windows S0i3 power state support 10 , the deepest standby level the system enters when in power saving mode (referred to as Connected Standby).

The new firmware should also improve system stability with FCLK (Fabric Clock) set in OC between 1800 and 2000 MHz. AGESA 1.1.9.0 also supports X motherboards 570 with passive cooling , i.e. without cooling fans on the chipset: it is not clear if this implies the arrival of a wave of new models without active dissipation of the chipset, like the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Da rk Hero and a few others.

Maybe AMD has implemented some functionality in the firmware to make sure the X chipset 570 maintains adequate temperature levels for optimal operation despite the absence of cooling. Finally, the fourth improvement mentions simple “ general stability improvements “.
