AMD Radeon RX 6700 and Radeon RX 6700 XT – NAVI 22 graphics cards may only debut at the end of March

Unfortunately, availability is much worse – there are very few cards or no cards at all, which also affects the prices of these models that will already be available for sale. During the CES 2021 the smaller NAVI chips were to debut 22 in the form of Radeon RX 6700 and Radeon RX 6700 XT, and at least that’s what we thought so far. However, information has appeared on the web suggesting that the actual debut of these cards will take place much later. Perhaps this is related to the desire to improve availability from the day of the store debut. What’s new about Radeon cards based on the NAVI chip 22?

This means that the actual debut of the new GPUs will not take place until the end of March. As a reminder, NVIDIA intends to respond very quickly to these cards in the form of its GeForce RTX 3060 from 12 GB of memory (the card may be called GeForce RTX 3060 Ultra, as reported in the previous news ).
NAVI chip only 22 will be equipped with up to 40 blocks Compute Units, half of what the Radeon RX 6900 XT offers. Both upcoming cards – Radeon RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT – are to be equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6 VRAM per 192 – bit bus. According to unofficial information, the reference version of the cards will be similar in design to what was presented on the occasion of the flagship NAVI chips 21. Here, however, the cards are to be equipped with two fans, not three. In addition, AMD plans to introduce the same cards to laptops to compete with systems like the GeForce RTX 3060.
