AMD Releases New Radeon Software 20.11.2 Drivers with RDNA2 Support for Its Graphics Cards and APUs
Source: IO Tech added 20th Nov 2020In addition to support for Radeon RX 6800 series graphics cards, the drivers include official support for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
Radeon Software 20 11 The most significant driver updates are support for new Radeon RX 6800 based on RDNA2 architecture series graphics cards and the World of Warcraft Shadowlands add-on. In addition, the drivers include support for the VK_KHR_fragment_shading_rate extension of the Vulkan interface. Extension is practically equivalent Vulkan interface DirectX side Variable Rate Shading feature.
As usual, problems with previous releases have also been fixed in the drivers. The list of bugs fixed this time includes graphical corruption in Far Cry Primal with RX 5000 series graphics cards, RX 5700 series lower than expected performance in Xuan-Yuan Sword VII as well as fan profile issues with the older RX 500 series with sleep mode. Known bugs include the possible crash of several DXR games, the corruption of characters in Rysis 6800 in Crysis Remastered, and the old familiar higher clock speeds RX shown by the Performance Metrics Overlay and Performance Tuning tabs 5700 series graphics cards in sleep mode.
