AMD releases Radeon Software Adrenalin version 20.11.1

AMD is releasing its latest version of the Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition right on time for the start of the week. The current beta version 20. 11. 1 mainly contains a large number of optimizations for the games Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, DiRT 5, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Godfall, the update also fixes a number of problems. Especially in Godfall (under DirectX 12) a Radeon-RX – 5700 – XT-GPU at high settings achieve an average of 7% better FPS performance than was the case in previous driver versions.

The new 430 MB large adrenaline beta drivers in version 20. 11. 1 is not only for Windows 10 (64 Bit) for download, but also for the somewhat aged Windows 7 (64 Bit) with at least one Service Pack 1 installed. You can download the driver including the full release note from AMD’s website.

Known problems:

  • Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround
  • Performance Metrics Overlay and the Performance Tuning tab incorrectly report higher than expected idle clock speeds on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products. Performance and power consumption are not impacted by this incorrect reporting
  • Modifying the HDMI Scaling slider may cause FPS to become locked to 30
