There are just days until the PlayStation 5 start to appear on the shelves of stores around the world, but it appears that BestBuy already has a PlayStation 5 unit running in a sample display case so that users can see first-hand what the console looks like, as well as test it.
However, as we can see in the image, the mere fact of having publicized it may be giving a bad image of the console , because it seems that the PlayStation 5 that BestBuy has exposed is suffering from overheating to the point that the console itself is stops to prevent damage to the system.
Although we cannot see what the booth, a user who has responded to the image, who claims to be a BestBuy worker, indicates that the booths in which the consoles are mounted for the public to test them do not count precisely with good ventilation , and that although the console that we see behind the showcase may appear to have no ventilation, it really is not that which is working, but is another unit behind the TV, which can potentially feed the console with hot air to start with.
Anyway, it is a suboptimal configuration on the console but that could be equated to keeping the console inside a poorly ventilated display case, closet or shelf in our home, so it is clear that nearby heat sources such as a relatively old TV and little air around the console can be problematic for the PlayStation 5.
