Page 1: Arctic Freezer 50 in the test: flagship cooler for the mainstream

With the freezer 50 Arctic is finally launching its top cooler for the mainstream sockets from AMD and Intel – and for Intel’s HEDT platform. In the test, we clarify whether the massive dual-tower cooler can also convince in the mainstream segment.

It’s been a few months since Arctic started with the Freezer 15 TR launched a new cooler for enthusiasts. As a pure Threadripper cooler, however, it is a niche product – despite the high cooling performance and the eye-catching look with integrated A-RGB lighting.

It was only logical that a sibling model for the mass market would follow – and Arctic is now actually bringing that with the Freezer 50 on the market.

The new model is again a massive dual-tower cooler with two fans and distinctive lighting. And Arctic stokes high expectations: Noctuas NH-D , Scythes Fuma 2 and the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 should be outbid in performance. At least looking at the Noctua cooler, we will be able to verify this claim. At least in terms of price, the NH-D are definitely undercut. The Freezer 50 costs 59 ,99 Euro. If you still need an A-RGB controller, you can use the cooler alternatively for 69, 99 Euro also order with A-RGB-Controller.
