If it wasn’t – I’m not a fanatical fan of the ASUS brand, but when it comes to their gaming peripherals, they have full respect for me. Sure, devices signed with the ROG logo are not the cheapest, but almost all of them (mice, keyboards or headphones) that fell into my greedy reviewer hands, presented not only good workmanship, but probably above all such wide functionality that sometimes it happens philosophers have not dreamed. This can also be seen in the brand’s gaming smartphones or laptops (see, for example, ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo with two screens), where it is not limited to classic solutions, but successfully implemented improvements that are alien to the competition (more …) So, having this and no other opinion about ASUS computer peripherals, this time I became interested in the headset for ROG Theta 7.1 players. They have four converters per headphone, but this is not the end of the possibilities of this gem priced at 1450 PLN.

Cordless, luminous, foldable, with built-in sound card, over-ear, around-ear, with memory foam. .. Gamers today have a lot of room for maneuver when it comes to choosing the perfect headphones. ASUS ROG Theta 7.1 is aimed at those who care about wired gaming, recording our voice as faithfully as possible (the headphones have received Teamspeak and Discord certificates) or on soft, material, exchangeable cushions. The set will also be liked by people looking for a real 7.1 system, i.e. a built-in DAC, not simulated surround sound, which usually works very average and does more harm than good. And we cannot forget about the backlight compatible with the ASUS Aura RGB Lighting environment, which we will take a closer look at on the following pages.

ASUS ROG Theta 7.1 – eight drivers, microphone with ANC, built-in DAC, interchangeable fabric pads, multi-platform and … high price. You don’t have to be above average resolute to notice that these are headphones for the most demanding players, as well as for those with a slightly deeper pocket.

The headphones are This means that they are compatible not only with a PC, but also with consoles such as Sony PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Thanks to the fact that the headphones are terminated with a gold-plated USB-C plug (the set also includes a USB-A extension) , we can also connect them to a smartphone with a compatible port. USB-C is also a nice option if our laptop has such an input, and the other USB-A ports are already occupied. It’s worth knowing that ASUS is a slightly cheaper alternative to this model ROG Theta Electret, i.e. headphones with a 3.5 m mini jack plug m. However, there is neither a built-in DAC nor so many converters.
