Canon will announce a number of new features in the coming months. The new professional solution that will join the EOS-1D X Mark III but with a mirrorless technology, will be presented in the second half of 2021. ??

With the beginning of the new year, new speculations have also arrived on what will be the news in the photographic sector. We know that Fujifilm will soon present, among other things, the new GFX 12 S, but also Canon and the other manufacturers will not stand by! Precisely as regards Canon , new information has emerged in recent days on what should be the his strategy.

Canon news for the 2021, according to rumors

We know that the camera world is definitely looking in the direction of mirrorless cameras . This is why it is not strange to think that the next professional camera, which will join the EOS-1D X Mark III, will be a mirrorless solution .

We currently know it as Canon EOS R1 but the name is obviously subject to change (it is a rumors after all). The pandemic has forced producers to change plans, no one excluded and in general future plans are still unstable and subject to change.

However, it seems that the mirrorless professional will still be announced in the second half of 2021. There is not much information yet and it is therefore difficult to understand what users can expect. After all there will also be a new high-resolution mirrorless in the near future and which will clash with solutions such as Sony A7R IV, already announced for some time.

Then there will be the new APS-C solutions which will replace the EOS M range and which should debut this year (and almost certainly by the Christmas period). This will allow users to use the new RF lenses even without the need to choose a full sensor -frame. This will save on weight and perhaps also on dimensions.

Finally, there may also be new solutions that will position themselves between the APS-C (RF) range and below the EOS R6. These will essentially be new cameras that Canon will announce to replace the EOS RP and EOS R aiming at a favorable quality / price ratio as well as a full-frame sensor.
