A few months ago Remedy officially announced the complete Control Ultimate Edition, which is being prepared for the new PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles. The release triggered a few months this is a lot of controversy due to the inability to improve the standard edition purchased on the selected console for the Ultimate edition. Instead, players will be forced to buy the new edition, which will be the only one compatible with current consoles. In addition, there will be no transferable save, so you have to play from the very beginning. It is therefore a position mainly for those players who have not yet had the opportunity to play Remedy on any console. The creators presented a short video showing the first graphics possibilities and confirming the release date.

Remedy Studio confirmed the premiere of Control: Ultimate Edition in February on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S consoles. The release date is for a digital release, while the boxed one will be out in March.

Control PC Performance Test – Hardware Requirements Out of Control

Control Ultimate Edition will appear on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S on February 2 2021 year. It will then only be available in the digital edition on PlayStation Store and Xbox Store. The boxed version will debut a month later – on March 2. Remedy studio is currently working on adapting its latest production (quite demanding in terms of hardware requirements, by the way) to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S consoles. The first video material published by the developers confirms a few changes to the original.

Control Ultimate Edition will offer players two modes of operation – the first is Performance ( Performance), in which the game will run in constant 60 FPS. No resolution was given, but we will most likely get dynamic scaling to 4K. The second mode – graphic – will offer support for Ray Tracing, but with the FPS reduced to 30 FPS. Below we present the first comparison of disabled and enabled Ray Tracing on consoles. Of course, the differences are noticeable at first glance. The trailer focuses on more realistic reflections on surfaces. However, I am not entirely convinced that such changes will prevent players from wanting to play smooth 60 FPS.
