c't zockt LIVE from 6 p.m .: Satisfactory – Nothing can stop us!

Source: Heise.de added 14th Jan 2021

First of all, it goes down quickly: As pioneers, we land in a small drop pod on an unknown planet. The material of the drop pod serves as the basis for the first hub, which we want to quickly expand into a larger production facility. In the factory building game Satisfactory we receive new construction plans for materials and machines, logistics and transport with every progress.

Alien plants await us on the planet and animals – some harmless, some dangerous. We explore the new world in search of raw material deposits. The unknown is analyzed and used for the production of goods. In the open world game you alternate between building production facilities and exploring the unknown world.

Satisfactory: industrialize foreign worlds (35 Pictures) At the beginning you get a short briefing about the goals of Ficsit: exploit everything!

Both are great fun: Satisfactory by the Swedish developer Coffee Stain Studios, known for the tower defense games Sanctum and Sanctum 2, promises hours of fun and impresses with its beautiful graphics and imaginative worlds that you can discover alone or with other players.

c’t plays live and in a team: Satisfactory

Satisfactory is still in the early access phase and is diligently developed. But the game makes a very mature impression; Except for a few clipping errors, we haven’t noticed any bugs. A few game elements that can be found in the world are marked as work in progress, but not relevant for the game progress.

c’t zockt collects the gamers of the c’t magazine and of heise online. We play games across the board, like indie and early access games, have a heart for retro titles and occasionally venture into virtual reality. We stream live LAN parties from our video studio on YouTube and we also regularly publish new videos about games there. Have a look: youtube.com/ctzockt

The minimum requirements are with a quad-core processor (i5 2020), a 2 GB graphics (GTX 770 or better) and 8 GB of RAM moderate. The developer has not yet made any recommendations. The game runs under 64 – bit Windows (from 7), works but also under Linux via Steam Play / Proton.

Satisfactory first appeared in March 2019 in the Epic Games Store, but has been since June 2020 also on Steam for 30 euros. Liane and Rudi from the c’t-zockt team will play Satisfactory on Thursday 14. January from 18 clock live in the YouTube channel of c’t gamble. Will they survive, find a good place for their factory – and will the streaming technology work?
