Sounds incredible, but it’s all true. Cyberpunk 2077 was postponed again, a few days after receiving that Gold certification which, at least in our eyes, seemed to ensure the planned launch for the 19 November. We will have to wait a few more weeks, three to be precise, as communicated by CD Projekt RED .
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released (once and for all) on 10 December 2020 The Witcher – informed users about yet another postponement of the Cyberpunk launch 2077. The new date is 10 December 2020 and, at this point, we hope it will be the final one.
On behalf of the entire firm, the executives Adam Badowski and Marcin Iwinski apologized to fans and players eagerly awaiting, and stated the following: “The biggest challenge for us right now is to release the game on current consoles, on next-gen ones and on PC simultaneously, which forces us to prepare and test nine different versions while we work from home “.

It seems that the biggest obstacle is precisely the cross-platform launch: “Since Cyberpunk 2077 has evolved to the point of becoming almost a next-gen title, we want to make sure everything works well and that each version runs smoothly “. By postponing the release, the development team gains 21 days to be able to refine each version of the game and make the latest changes.
As we wrote on these pages, entering the Gold phase would have put a stop to the constant shifts of the release date. Badowski and Iwinski also wanted to clarify this detail: “Obtaining certification, or ‘going Gold’, means that the game is ready, that can be completed and includes all content. However, does not mean that we stop working on it to improve its quality On the contrary, this is the time when many of the improvements are made that will then be distributed via patch on Day 0 “.
With today’s announcement we have four referrals for Cyberpunk 2077 . Eight years after the reveal of May 2012, the game will see the light – hopefully – next 10 December , date it will be available on PC, PS4 (and PS4 Pro), PS5 , Xbox One (and One X), Xbox Series X | S and Google Stadia.
