This week MSI 29 has motherboards with Z 590 -, B 560 – and H 510 – chipset officially presented, primarily for Intel’s upcoming Rocket Lake S processors are intended. But actually they are not 29, but 30 new boards, provided that the MPG is also coming CARBON Z 590 EK X is added. We remember the MSI MPG Z 490 CARBON EK X, which we had already examined in a video in the editorial office. Now the new and second edition follows with the Z 590 chipset.

Once again there has been a cooperation between MSI and EKWB and also in connection with the Z 590 – PCH both manufacturers wanted to design a joint product again and make it available to the market. As a result, the new MSI MPG CARBON Z 590 EK X came out, whose circuit board was taken over by the MPG Z 590 GAMING CARBON WIFI and finally the CPU – and VRM cooling has been modified.

And this is exactly where the water cooling specialist EKWB comes into play and has developed the water cooler monoblock for the special edition, which is not just takes care of the LGA 1200 processor itself, but also takes care of the heat dissipation of the voltage converter of the 16 + 1+ 1 power supply feels responsible. During operation, a sight glass can be used to take a look inside, which is of course decorated with RGB LEDs. A flow indicator is new in the second version. The mainboard also comes with the EK leak tester free of charge, which is usually sold separately for 34, 95 euros must be purchased.

On the other hand, it is questionable when the MSI MPG CARBON Z 590 EK X will arrive in stores. MSI itself announces on its own website that it will be with the new mainboards on 27. January should start, but whether this also applies to the special edition remains to be seen.
