First announced at E3 2019 , Elden Ring is the new project of the studio of FromSoftware , creators of the most popular Dark Souls and Bloodborne. The team led by director Hidetaka Miyazaki is collaborating with George RR Martin , author of the Chronicle of Ice cycle and of fire, with the aim of giving life to a completely new role-playing game.

We don’t know much about Elden Ring, but according to the latest rumors we could finally attend a presentation complete with the soulslike, perhaps with the fateful reveal of the gameplay.

Elden Ring : the reveal is scheduled for January, according to rumors

In an episode of the GamesBeat Decides podcast, Jeff Grubb shared intriguing details about a possible reveal of Elden Ring . The VentureBeat reporter explains that soon – within two months, in all likelihood – players will receive new information on the FromSoftware title.

The rumors spread by Grubb follow the recent official statements of the Japanese developer who, last October, reassured users by stating that Elden Ring is still under development. So when will we see the coveted RPG in action? The answer could come from Reddit.

The Taipei Game Show will be held next January, a celebration that should have been held this year, but which was instead canceled due to restrictions related to COVID – 19. One of the games that we would see at the Taipei event is Elden Ring. The event will return on 28 and on 29 January 2021 , with a new event that will bring together hundreds of companies in the gaming industry.

A very interesting hypothesis has therefore spread on Reddit. January 2021 would coincide with the period suggested by Grubb regarding the next Elden Ring reveal; also, it would not be the first time we would see FromSoftware at the Taipei event, where in January 2019 had given a presentation gameplay of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

That said, it wouldn’t be surprising if Miyazaki and colleagues decide to bring their new creation to the next edition of the Taipei Game Show, showing the game on one of the two days the event will take place (on 28 January, plus probably). Also from Reddit they remind us that the presentation initially scheduled for 2020 would have seen the involvement of Sony and the PlayStation brand: we could therefore review this partnership on the occasion of the next reveal.

We specify again that this is a mere supposition and that FromSoftware has not yet released further statements about a presentation dedicated to Elden Ring .
