Source: Heise.de added 16th Jan 2021With photography you take a break from everyday life. Sometimes you will be rewarded with magical moments, a moment like in the picture Standing Tall by Sophie 1404. The photographer was traveling in the southern Black Forest. She explains about the atmospheric tour: “Thick fog and storm with heavy snowdrifts whipped almost horizontally from the west over the mountain tops, which turned the windbeams into true fog figures on that day. A very extraordinary winter mood that I felt completely alone, without any trace of it Snow, was allowed to experience. ”
The conditions for taking photos were extreme that day. She describes one of the challenges on the tour as follows: “Snow crystals and the icy wind caused my lens to freeze permanently and I had to remove practically all of the lenses 30 Remove the frozen snow for seconds with a cloth. ” Your photo was particularly well received by viewers this week. She achieved her goal: “I wanted to introduce winter not only in sunny weather, but also in rough conditions and to capture the mood that prevails.”
Rudolf Wildgruber was actually looking for something completely different: the sun. He found the cold and the fog at the picturesque Walchensee, which is about 75 kilometers from Munich and one the largest and deepest alpine lakes in Germany. “Amazingly, despite the cold weather, there were a lot of windsurfers and kite surfers on the road. The fog spread evenly over the surface of the water and laid a milky gray over the water and the surrounding mountains.” Wildgruber shot his picture Fog Surfer. He was fascinated by the mood of the motif: “The fog was evenly distributed over the surface of the water and laid a milky gray over the water and the surrounding mountains. The surfer with his blue sail matched the color mood perfectly. The rays of the sun make the blue of the sail shine . ”
In Turkey the scene plays owl on the wall, a really small moment of everyday life, the Mira 1959 with a lot of feeling for the atmospheric effect of the play of light. She explains how the photo was taken: “It was only shortly before I wanted to extinguish the candle in the lantern that I noticed the ‘owl-look’ shadow on the wall. I switched off all other light sources in the living room and picked up the camera.”

Pictures of the week KW 02 (7 pictures) Hogwarts In the world of Harry Potter novels, Hogwarts is a major wizarding school, it is located in a huge old castle full of magic and mystery. Photographer Bernhard Strachwitz was inspired by this for his “Corona project”, he wrote to us about the complex assembly: “I was able to borrow the Lego castle and photographed it in my garden at night with a flash so that I simulate the moonlight Then I drove to an alpine lake in Styria and found out when the full moon would be in such a way that I could use it for my picture. At that time I drove to this lake again in the evening and photographed it with a suitable Moon with different exposures. Of course I paid attention to the correct perspective in order to have suitable mounting material. Finally, the processing in Photopshop followed, where the castle on the rock and the lake had to be brought into harmony. The unrealistic representation of the moon (visibility of the Surface in connection with the luminous wreath) was intentional Detail on the edge: The windows of the castle were individually with the cell phone pocket backlit and the photos all put together in Photoshop. ”
