This year, a few more games will have ray tracing support, the biggest of which is definitely Cyberpunk 2077 from the Polish studio CD Projekt RED. However, there are also regular announcements of new titles to use ray tracing in real time. One of the games scheduled for 2021 that will receive ray tracing will be Hitman 3, the sequel to the Agent’s adventures 47 with a barcode on the back of the head. This is not the end of the news, because the Danish studio IO Interactive has undertaken cooperation with Intel, which will translate, among others, into for better use of multi-threaded processors. This information was released on the occasion of the 20 anniversary of the series launched by Hitman: Codename 47. The upcoming Hitman 3 will be the eighth full-fledged installment of this stealth series.

IO Interactive announced that Hitman 3 will receive a post-launch update with ray tracing support. The PC version of the game is created in cooperation with Intel, which is to translate into better use of multi-core processors.

Hitman 3 – version hardware requirements PC not so deadly

Studio IO Interactive intends to implement ray tracing in Hitman 3 on PC, but only after the January premiere. Unfortunately, we don’t know the approximate release date for the update. There are also no samples of what the game will look like with active ray tracing or what effects it will be limited to. In addition, you can count on the addition of Variable Rate Shading (VRS) support. The PC version is developed in close cooperation with Intel, which, according to the developers, is expected to improve the use of processors with eight (or more) cores. Will it mean better game performance on Blue CPU? In any case, this will allow the Danish team to fill the Dubai location with more NPCs and develop more advanced environmental destruction in Dartmoor. More details will be available in the coming months, and a new trailer will be released tomorrow:

What PC games will receive ray tracing and DLSS in 2020?

IO Interactive studio now has their hands full. In addition to completing work on Hitman 3, which will premiere 20 January 2021 of the year on PC (Epic Games Store temporarily exclusive) and PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S, it is also preparing a VR version of the entire new trilogy. Recently, the developers have unexpectedly announced their next game – Project 007 (working name), in which we will witness the birth of James Bond as an Agent 007. The works, however, are only at a very early stage, so fans of IO Interactive games will have to settle for the new version of Hitman in the near future.
